Terms of Service
Last updated: May 6, 2026
The full terms
What it means
Each section includes a plain English explanation.
These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your access to and use of Assembo's website, products, and services ('Service'). Assembo is operated by Ruud Digital Solutions (org. nr. 932375311), Botnafjellsvegen 47, 5353 Straume, Norway. Contact: marcruud@gmail.com. Please read these terms carefully before using the Service.
This is our contract with you. We've tried to make it human-readable, but it's still legally binding. The right column explains what each section actually means in plain English.
1. Acceptance of terms
- • By accessing or using Assembo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
- • The DPA is automatically incorporated into these Terms. By accepting these Terms, you also accept the DPA.
- • In the event of conflict between these Terms and the DPA, the DPA shall prevail.
- • If you don't agree to these terms, please don't use the service.
- • We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
What it means
By using Assembo, you agree to these terms AND the DPA (no separate signature needed). If the DPA and these Terms ever conflict, the DPA wins. Keep using it = you're cool with everything.
2. Account registration
- • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- • You must be at least 16 years old to use Assembo.
- • One person or legal entity per account. No sharing accounts.
- • You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
What it means
Use real info, keep your password safe, be at least 16, and don't share your account. If someone does something sketchy on your account, that's on you.
3. Payments
- • Lifetime access is a one-time payment. No subscriptions, no auto-renewals.
- • Prices are listed on our pricing page.
- • We use Stripe for payment processing. We never see your full card number.
- • Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase. Contact us, no questions asked.
- • We may change prices over time. Anyone who already paid keeps lifetime access regardless.
What it means
One payment, you're in forever. Stripe handles the money. Not happy in the first 14 days? Email us for a refund. If we raise the price later, that doesn't affect you.
4. Acceptable use
- • Don't use Assembo for anything illegal or harmful.
- • Don't attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
- • Don't try to reverse engineer, hack, or exploit the service.
- • Don't use automated tools to scrape or abuse the service.
- • Don't resell access to your account.
What it means
Don't be evil. Don't hack us. Don't resell your account. Basically, use Assembo like a normal person building cool things.
5. Intellectual property
- • Assembo and its original content (excluding user content) are owned by Ruud Digital Solutions.
- • Themes you create are yours. You retain all rights to your custom themes.
- • Components, blocks, and themes you copy from Assembo are licensed for unlimited use in your personal and commercial projects, including modification. This license does not permit reselling or redistributing the components as a standalone template, UI kit, design system, or component library.
- • Some components are derived from third-party open-source projects (including shadcn/ui, Aceternity UI, Magic UI, and React Bits). Attribution comments are preserved in source files where applicable, and you must keep them when copying derived code.
- • You grant us a license to host and display your saved themes within the service.
What it means
We own Assembo, you own your themes. The code you copy is yours to use anywhere, modify however you want, and ship in any product. The one rule: don't repackage and resell our blocks as your own UI kit. Some components are built on top of open-source projects, so when you copy those, keep the attribution comment.
6. Service availability
- • We aim for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime.
- • We may perform maintenance with advance notice when possible.
- • We're not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control.
- • We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
What it means
We try to stay online but stuff happens. Internet goes down, servers need updates. We'll give you a heads up for planned maintenance.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Assembo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.
What it means
If something goes wrong, we're not on the hook for your lost profits or indirect damages. This is standard legal stuff that basically every software company has. Assembo is a solo operation doing its best.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Assembo and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
What it means
If you do something that gets us sued, you're covering our legal bills. Don't do things that get people sued.
9. Termination
- • You can delete your account at any time from your settings.
- • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
- • Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.
- • We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
What it means
You can leave whenever you want. We can kick you out if you break the rules. Some data might stick around for legal reasons even after you leave.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway. However, this doesn't affect your statutory consumer rights under the laws of your country of residence.
What it means
Norwegian law applies, Norwegian courts decide disputes. But if your local consumer protection laws are stronger, those still apply to you.
